Cooking on the Campsite

- Dedicated BBQ Area: While open fires and BBQs are not allowed near tents or camping areas, we’ve created a designated BBQ zone in the campsite where families can safely use their own BBQs.
- BBQs must be raised at least one foot off the ground.
- Dispose of used BBQs in the provided bins once completely extinguished.
- Camping Stoves: You can use small gas or kerosene camping stoves outside your tent, keeping them at least three meters away from flammable materials.
- Wash-Up Stations: Conveniently located wash-up stations are available to help with cleanup after your meals.
For your safety, please follow these additional guidelines:
- Do not cook inside your tent or awning.
- Do not use fuel-burning appliances to heat your tent or awning.
- Consider using a carbon monoxide alarm as an added precaution, but this should not replace other safety measures.
- Knives with sharp or pointed blades up to three inches long may be used for cooking but are not allowed in any festival arenas.
These guidelines align with the Purple Guide for Health, Safety, and Welfare at Music and Other Events, ensuring a safe and enjoyable festival experience for all families.
No Open Fires Outside Designated Areas
For safety reasons, open flames and fire pits are not allowed in the camping areas. However, we’ll provide designated campfire zones where families can gather to enjoy marshmallow toasting, storytelling, and other supervised activities.
