Family Guidelines and Age Policies

At The Big Family Festival, we strive to create a magical and safe experience for families of all ages. To ensure the best experience for everyone, we have implemented guidelines for supervising children and young attendees.

Supervision Rules

• Teens (13–17): Each adult (aged 30+) may accompany up to four Teen Ticket holders. Teens must attend with their parent, legal guardian, or a nominated guardian over 30 years of age.
• Young Children (10–12): Must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or a nominated guardian aged 26 or older.
• Infants and Young Kids (0–9): Must be supervised at all times by their parent or legal guardian, ensuring they are safe and engaged in age-appropriate activities.

There will be a creche available with bookings open in March through the team at The Super Pirates,. 

Hot Tub and Sauna Rules

Hot Tub Bookings: Hot tub sessions will open for booking in March. Slots will be available for family and adult-only sessions.

• Family Hot Tub Sessions:

  • Tubs will be kept at a lower temperature suitable for families.

  • Sessions are limited to a maximum of 30 minutes.

  • No under 5s allowed for safety reasons.

  • Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

• Sauna Rules:

  • The minimum age for sauna use is 15 years.

  • Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Age Categories and What to Expect

• Babies (0–2 years): Free baby tickets, baby-changing stations, quiet spaces, and a nurturing environment make it easy to enjoy the festival with your little ones.
• Infants (3–5 years): Activities are tailored for gentle exploration, including woodland magic and safe, creative play.
• Juniors (6–12 years): Packed with activities like scavenger hunts, crafting, and storytelling to fuel their curiosity and imagination.
• Teens (13–17 years): Exciting workshops, performances, and challenges designed to keep them inspired and engaged.

These guidelines are in place to ensure every attendee has a safe and memorable experience. Please make sure to adhere to these rules so all families can fully enjoy the magic of the festival together!
